Our GTI is 2016 and manual. I would have updated but now only the VW DSG is available, so not interested.

But it's a delight to drive. Quick and refined, a bit hard on the suspension at times, but mid 30s MPG. Up to 40 on occasions. A true successor to the Mk1 Golf GTI. Not because it's a "GTI", because it's a small performance hatch with great build quality. Small being the main appeal!
