While it's working I enjoy the comfort and ease of my Volvo (2023 V60 PHEV).
BUT, I do think all the tech is actually detrimental to driving skills. I was fortunate having been taught to drive by experts, but that was years ago.
Now I am told that an instructor of a speed awareness course advises people to use all the driving aids available. Has anyone tried adaptive cruise control in traffic? The brake lights go on 200/300 yards up the road, the car immediately in front of me carries on until they have to brake firmly. ACC means my car does the same, but I have already reduced speed accordingly as I have turned off ACC.
