The Aeros certainly had paint issues, but it's not something often heard about modern trads. There was that blip when headlamp nacelles suffered cracking, but that was short lived. After 20 years my Roadster still has no signs of lifting or bubbling......there's tempting fate, but it does have orange peel, and sub surface lines, which you wouldn't get on a modern car, and maybe not on a CX.

The risk with buying new is that you don't see the paintwork until it's done, whereas with a used Morgan it's all there. My GDI is probably 95% on the paint but I know where the flaws are. Just some slight sinking which should have been picked up in PDI.

The more irritating aspect is a couple of issues with the leather. One is a flaw in the hide, but very visible on the n/s inner sill. The other is the drivers door top rail which is not stretched enough so is wrinkled. I didn't chase it up, because, well, they are all like that sir..........
