They're now the largest manufacturer of electric vehicles globally, making more than 4 million in 2024, so I'd assume they know what they're about. They also make more rechargeable batteries than any company in the world. With 6 years/100k mile warranty I'm not too worried about reliability.

Personally I couldn't care whether it has BYD or BMW on the badge as long as it does the job I want.

I was very impressed with the quality and the performance is frankly ridiculous.

Naturally there will be many who can't see past the usual suspects but brand snobbery will always be. Ironically could it be the "aspirational" brands that now lack the background data and experience ?
