congratulations on your new car, looks splendid. I do wonder if there would be a way to custom make a container for the back area which could be sealed a bit more tightly so that the contents arent wet upon arriving at your destination. Considering the open area around the transmission into the front hood, I would assume that it would get sprayed a bit with water as well.
As to the water that got into where you were sitting, was it substantial and are there any drain holes in the bottom to prevent sitting water if you were ever in a terrible rainstorm. Did the water just lap in from the hood or does it get diverted from some sort of small lip?
