It will be interesting to see who wins out the EU bureaucrats or the motor manufacturers on the 2035 ICE deadline. My money is on the bureaucrats, as they will extend the no go ICE zones at an alarming rate in the years to come.
So even if you can still buy and own an ICE, you most likely won't be able to drive it anywhere, or the cost of doing so will be so prohibitive it will only be the very wealthy that can indulge that ICE passion. My bet there will be increasing more completely no go areas for ICE starting with urban areas and then growing outwards to encompass everything. eventually. And once they eg claim the High Streets back for pedestrians, even non ICE vehicles will become increasingly more restricted in their access to urban areas. Goodness knows what the future holds out for rural communities often with poor public transport infrastructure once the bureaucrats start their anti vehicle campaign on their small town and village centres..
