Paul, clambering about in attics can be dangerous and perhaps more so in some attics than others and if one adds the ageing process to that..?
Perhaps to have all methods of isolation easily accessible to the householder as a priority..?

Totally agree - forgot to mention the advice was for an *additional* isolator in the attic, so if you are up there and need to shut things off you don't need to run to the garage!
