To cover both worlds I had a lot of tools in cause I‘ve got old MINIs but for some tools more I use „LOUIS“ and „POLO“, both bikeshops, but as I know they ship worldwide. Especially LOUIS has some good toolkits for only a few EUROs. There I can report about good tools from „Rothewald“.

And as I actually realized: you can learn a lot owning a MOG ;-)

Greets René

Thank you René, I have acquired a metric ratchet set off of Amazon (with a frankly bewildering array of various doodads to attach to the actual ratchet wrenches). Weirdly, the male element of the wrenches seem to be in inches (3/4 and 3/8), whilst all of the attachments (at least, the "business ends" that go on to nuts and bolts) are metric, but that seems to be how these things are for some reason. Will now try to get my hands on an inches-to-inches (is that SAE? Imperial? a bit confusing) set.
