Only had it happen once, on my '76 4/4 so a few years ago. Heading south from Buxton on the A515? across the tops. Rain driving sideways from the right when some blind f**kwit pulled out of a side turning. Fortunately I wasn't running near the speed limit due to the weather, but the hard brake application nearly put me up on the nearside verge. The pull to the nearside was quite violent.
