The debate is interesting: chain or belt... I owned an MTW for 4 years, and I've been riding an MS3 for over a year. It's true that the belt's edge is rather annoying, but the advantage of having almost no maintenance on a belt is a huge advantage. That's why I'll always keep the belt drive, putting a little Teflon regularly on the belt to limit the noise:
