I think the E10 issue was more to do with the Ethanol being incompatible with rubber and plastics used on cars this age. I only use E5 which not every service station supplies unfortunately.
Sadly, I think e5 will go the way of leaded 4 *. Price differential will greatly increase, petrol station suppliers will diminish due to lack of demand and then it’s finally goodbye to e5. (by which time we’ll have e15 to contend with).
