Here's Admiral's windscreen damage clause, which I think would lead to a replacement of a Morgan windscreen by a Morgan dealer (fingers crossed):
"If we need to replace any glass, we may use glass which is not provided by the vehicle’s manufacturer but is of a similar standard and quality. If there is no glass available and it cannot be reasonably sourced, we will pay the cost shown in the manufacturer’s latest price guide, together with reasonable fitting costs"
I'm with Admiral on the Morgan, so that saves me looking it up. At the time as my existing NCB was used on another car and my other NCB was over 2 years old, so that NCB was lost. Admiral was the most decent quote with very low excess I got with zero NCB but many years of clean no claims on other insurance policies.Hopefully with a reshuffling of vehicle insurances coming up this year I'll be able to apply my NCB to the Morgan, now we are currently down to 2 cars.............but I've got my eye on a Harley again, so will be at zero motorcycle NCB, but as I'm looking at a 90's bike, the classic premiums are a faction of the new bike insurance costs. I'm sure it will give me hours of cleaning enjoyment , with the occasional local ride.
