Anyone else wonder why the Orangutan was praising the Supermarine "Bentley" for being a 'real car' to drive, when previously criticising Mogs for exactly the same sort of reasons?
Paul, I have no doubt your question was rhetorical because I know you're a clever chap but my personal opinion on Top Gear is that you have to view it as entertainment. They often put the facts to one side for the sake of a cheap laugh. If I am not mistaken, the BBC via Top Gear, are being taken to court by Tesla Motor Company for this very reason.
Realised some time ago how heavily it was staged and choreographed - certain they already knew M3W would be quicker to get going off the line and great at doughnuts, so chose those 'tests' accordingly. Also sure the day of the drive to work was chosen to coincide with rain. Just a shame they missed the opportunity to pick on up the obvious link between the cars. Could have still got in all the jokes they wanted, but with a stronger comparison / conclusion. Better journalism?
P.S. Have added "" to Bentley that I was going to originally , but missed!
