Reg, don't worry, mine (& I think V6 Richard's are 2018) and were not factory fitted

Having taken a clutch master cylinder apart there is quite a strong return spring within that, plus of course the massive diaphram spring in the clutch itself

Here's my chassis in build - no spring !
