During the course of the conversation about the chavs and low life's I reminded her that we had an infux of them on the Campsites in Devon coincident with the crime level rocketing for our area and that we slept with a wooden baseball bat under the bed and neither of us would hesitate in using it should we have an unwelcome guest appear out of the blue. She really was shocked that people felt that the threat was so real we felt this necessary, not reading the room in their police enclaves I suspect.,
