Don't misunderstand me, I think we should be tough on policing all crimes and have appropriate punishment for offenders especially repeat offenders. I was glad to see that the before criminal proceedings were instigated it had to be over £200 of goods stolen was removed recently, ....theft is theft. Many small retail businesses cannot survive in the current environment especially with the assaults on staff, made much when the under £200 no criminal action taken, created effectively a criminals charter.
