Just comeback from a bit of evening drive, only then I remember I should have recorded the sound, so I got my digital camera out, car parked on driveway, very dark, but the recorded sound is REALLY bad, think I might have placed the camera to close to the pipe, either that or the mic could not handle the low frenquency
you could also just about hear the pops and bangs as well...
