Before you replace the solenoid I would check with a multimeter that it is being powered.
Yes John, everything checked out OK.....no unusual voltage drops, no unexpected increased reistances, all connections checked and cleaned and power going to solenoid.
The RACV guy did it all originally but it didn't hurt to check!!
As I mentioned in a previous post, the multimeter will accompany me for a while!
