My car will nevertheless be equipped with both, as far as I know the police does not care on a Morgan, they want to talk about the car not check all parts and bits. They will check on baseball-capped dicks in their spoiler-covered Golfs not nice lads in proper british motors.
Largely true in the UK too. I remember a VW Golf being stopped in Edinburgh for a blowing exhaust and the upset look on the owners face as I drove past the incident and the police were not interested - my Morgan was far noisier!
