I bought my car Sept 2011. Last time I serviced or really worked on a car apart from changing bulbs and wipers myself was 1980. All sinced services done by main dealers. Based on earning more than a service would cost.
Getting less mobile as time moves on I too was concerned about getting underneath and greasing the suspension. Anyway apart from redirecting the lower right hand side nipple, I do the greasing myself and do not find the need to jack up the front of the car.
It is so simple that I have yet to fit the remote greasing kit I have bought.
Believe me greasing should not be an issue.
One tip is grease the bottom one first and then the top one so that you can be sure that the grease has flowed at the bottom and the top of the suspension.
You won't regret it.
