I'll talk to dad this weekend to see if a two piece "Millers" could be created using a smaller diameter tube which could be welded inside the existing handle to create a strong slotting removable joint. Cerealsurfer. I forgot to ask you dad last Thursday. Any news on this?

Hi,
Well I am having another go at removing a tight nut on the front passanger side.
It is completely stuck. I want to remove it to put spinners on the car.
I have tried the Millers Spanner but have no luck, it does have a issue of slipping of the nut a bit.
I have even tried a 4lb hammer but still it wont budge.
Any other suggestions? Does the centre lock plus 8 / aero wheels have the same issue from memory?

Dear Will, i had the best results gently heatening up the nuts for some minutes with a heat gun in advance.  If the´d been lubricated properly when fitted last time, they will come off with ease then... (hopefully!  )

i had the best results gently heatening up the nuts for some minutes with a heat gun in advance. I agree, one of those paint stripper-offers, less vicious than a torch of any sort but still hot enough.

I have the Miller tool which is fine but the front tend to get tight maybe from the disc oe engine heat.
Sometimes they need a bit of persuasion first by the standard tool and hammer.
