We did the same last month - dropped the folded hood onto the steering wheel and took two chunks out (mainly just surface damage to the lacquer).

I gently rubbed the around the damaged area with wet & dry to get rid of the flakey lacquer then dabbed on some Liquid Scratch Cover from Lakeland (the light wood version). It took a couple of coats to get the colour about right, and with hindsight a darker version may have been better. After letting it dry I then coated over with a clear lacquer spray. Not a bad job, if I say so myself!

New Plus 4 august 2012.Coolant level:My Belgium dealer asked to keep an eye on it for the first 1000km.The nuts on the tubes /coolant system had to be fastened by them , in case off low coolant level . It happened and after there maintenance , everything ok.

Tell me you haven't actually driven at 155mph in the Morgan??!

I've driven a few cars over 200mph, so I'm not afraid of speed..... But I wouldn't take the Roadster at 155. I don't have the balls!

Back to the steering wheel.... So if those Allen nuts are loosened, the rim definitely comes off?

Hi Neilda, yes, once the Allen key bolts are removed the steering wheel should come off.
Normally the steering wheel is simply placed onto the steering boss prior to bolting on.

Once the Allen bolts are loosened (they feel captive in that they spin but don't remove) the wheel should come off with some persuasion?! It feels extremely tight to me and I wouldn't want to damage it (further).

In my German official documents and also in the certificate of conformity the top speed of the roadster 3.7 is stated as 250 km/h, which is 155 mph. After the first 1000 miles run-in I tried it and 250 km/h was no problem for the roadster. The needle even was at the end of the speedometer, which 260 km/h +. I compared the speedometer with my navi and there was a 5% deviation ( 200km/h the speedometer and the navi was at 190 km/h).
The car is very stable at high speed. I had no problems and I am really not a race driver. The power is impressive especially if you are in the 5th gear and above 4000 rpm. Regarding acceleration and speed I couldn't find a difference between hood up or down (this was different in my old 4/4).

Axel - you are mad! In the nicest possible way of course.

It's good to know that the car will go this fast - I don't think mine will ever see such speeds.

110 mph for my 4/4 flat out two up . That was on the Mulsanne Straight at the LMC being overtaken by pesky French Plus 8s with a cheerful wave.....at least I think they were cheerful waves!

From my point of view, one of the the excellent features of my 4/4 sport is the fun to be had at relatively modest speeds, and the license preserving feature, that once you get above the french legal limit of 130km/h it becomes progressively less agreeable to drive. I must be getting old.

In truth, I'm far more likely to pick up a speeding ticket in my tranny van.

On my Moto-Lita steering wheel there are nuts on the rear of the steering wheel boss.
These nuts have to be removed from the bolts before the bolts come free from the boss.
Once all of the bolts are removed, the steering wheel should lift free from the boss.

I am wondering if the installers used some adhesive to hold the steering wheel onto the boss during assembly.
