I will only know later in the week whether I will be going up Rufus, but I'll keep you informed. It would be great to have the head match the wheel, but I'm waiting for Mike to find the wood first before we finalise the spec 100%. Could you re-engineer the rest of the fitment to match, i.e. in the same metal? Lastly, I had the Works engine-turn my dash panels to replace the stock black panels that it would have come with: As someone has commented, they sort of match the leather work too! Lastly, apologies Blake for high-jacking your thread, as a Mod I should know better.

Yes, almost any metal, any finish. Making parts on a lathe that become one of the focal points of an M3 is a pleasure. I'm looking forward to Mike's wheel on my M3 . Makes it very personal. If it need to be adapted, I can make device for the back as well.

I love the engine turned panels; they have a whiff of pre war Bugatti about them.
Très chic !

The company that makes the 3 point steering hub also makes a multi-point hub too. It's more expensive too - about £200 last time I looked.

I too love those engined turned dash panels - what a great custom solution using the stock panel!...but what I really want is something that looks like this: This is from the Ace Cycle Car, which as we all know, was the genesis of the M3W's rebirth! My only gripe with the new M3W design is the dash, I think somthing a bit more vintage, and a bit less "spitfire wannabe" would be classier. I suspect there would be a market for somone to make a replacement engine turned dash with vintage Smith's guages, I know I would buy one in a heartbeat! Any takers? Post here! Cheers, Greg

Yes, its stunning Greg. I also like the style of the cockpit coaming ( correct word?) on the Ace......very classic.

Look at the steering arms, they are horizontal and not sloping down!

Cheers, Greg I think that dash is perfect for the M3W; I like it better with the smaller swirls than the larger ones in the posting before. Can the dash be swapped out easily? The instruments might be a more difficult thing to change as they will require the right interface and maybe will need recalibration to meet the revolutions delivered by the existing feed. Ican make a dash like that if anyone wants to give it a try. Mike L.

Hello Gang. I've added new designs to my line of M3W wheels. Some you have already seen on M3W pictures posted here. This is one I wanted to make from the beginning - the design taken from a 1938 Maserati 8CTF. Regards, Mike L.
