i wish companies would get their act together over the christmas period. i've had to call two customer service centres today. both had a prerecorded message asking me to call back during opening hours 'monday to friday 9 until 5'. looking at my watch it is 10 and the calendar tells me it is a friday mad2

change the message or answer my call if it is the time and day when you state you will be open soapbox

Well, it if makes you feel any better, I've been trying to speak with Dreams (the bed company) today and their customer service department is perhaps one of the worst I've ever had the misfortune of coming into contact with.

They’ve sold me a bed with a very obvious manufacturing / design flaw but all they seem able to say is, “have you flipped the mattress, sir, as some settling is normal.” Which then turns into, 'well sir, could you just flip it for another few weeks to see if this cures the issue' when I ask how they plan to resolve my concern.

(Oh they did ask me to take a photo of a spirit level on the bed which was classic! smirk2 )

Yes I’m sure my bed bowing in the middle is normal after 1-night of use!

And no chubby jokes you lot! grin2

There does seem to be a few more shops closed between Christmas and New Years this year. I have also noticed a few of the cafes and restaurants we frequent also closing their doors over the holiday period. I assume that if it is a small business this may be one of the few chances the owner has to have a few days off. smile

Depends on "usage" wink

BtG

PS - very simple, letter by recorded mail stating the bed is 'not fit for purpose' giving them 14 days to collect before you charge them for delivering it back or storage. Then small claims court. You will of course need said photo of spirit level for Small Claims.
Good luck thumbs

Cheers

Let me just say that it is on-going; however, up to this point Dreams the bed company have proven that they have the worst customer service in England - without a doubt.
