Hi, Some might recognize me from this thread: http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/130199I've got yet a bold question. I've gotten in contact with a seller of a 1962 Morgan which is located in York, UK. The information and pictures I have gotten looks very good and promising and I am ready to travel and get it. Since I live in Norway it will cost me a lot of time and money go get there and back with a towing trailer. Because of this I was wondering if there would happen to be anyone on this forum who lived close and would not mind having a look at the car? I'm not expecting any expert evaluation - just to see if the car reasonably resembles the information and pictures I have gotten. Also I will check with the seller first. If you are able, drop me a PM with your email address, and I can send over the information I have of the car. (The advert on Internet is not available anymore or I would share it here. I only have an email and pdf with pictures from seller) Many thanks! Kind regards, Frode

Frode
I may be able to get across to York, but I'm away now until next Sunday (so off-line), and by the look of things it may be two weeks before I could get over there. Which side of York is it located?

Thank you DaveW. If nothing happens within the next two weeks I might ask you.

Wow!
You were lucky....
It's awful to be scammed. It happened to me a few years ago. The scammer got 5 years in Wandsworth prison, I never saw my money again. The government tried to deport him on his release from prison - he used the European Human Rights legislation to protect him (his victims were prevented from giving evidence or appealing) and he is still in the UK.
So I'm very glad you managed to swerve being stung. It hurts!
