I would think an older cherished +8 that's been fully de-snagged by a loving owner would be a joy.

I would think an older cherished +8 that's been fully de-snagged by a loving owner would be a joy. So that would be Rosie the Plus 8 then!! She is a thing of beauty Bud

In 1980 I bought a 4/4 because when we test drove a +4 and +8 and lived in London my now ex found that the +8 was hard for her to steer at low speeds and that the +4 not a lot better. Next winter I will be in a position to start seriously looking to renew by Morgan ownership again..... Now at the moment I am without a wife / partner...... now don't worry I am not after borrowing a wife or partner  !!!! When I buy my pocket will run to a 3 or so year old +4 or 4/4 or older Roadster It will be an acquisition to keep until I am driving a bath chair. Working assumption is that somewhere out there is a lady mad enough to take me on..... who likes cars and boats..... Which of the three models is likely to give a lady driver the easiest and most fun drive? The 4/4 I would not think a problem but what about the other two? all input is good input Difficult question to answer as each of the three classic models have unique characteristics - all are fantastic and fun to drive and it depends on how you like to drive. The Roadster feels a good deal heavier than the 4/4 and has more of a performance car feel to it whereas the 4/4 is a pure classic British Roadster and the most original and authentic Morgan. I think the Plus 4 is the best all rounder. It's still relatively light, you can throw it around more than the Roadster and it has plenty of torque. The Roadster is all about power and straight line acceleration .

I've always been a bit of a speedster and judging by a little run I had yesterday I can get into enough trouble with the Plus 4. I think if I drove a Roadster the same way I would seriously frighten myself. Fortunately there were no   around - or at least I hope not

The only way to find out is too toddle off to Berrybrooks and have some test drives. Morgan owners all have their favourite models, so it's really a personal choice. Personally I prefer the roadster as its an easy drive and has the power if you need it. The 4/4 is a great car and really echoes a traditional Morgan in the pure form. The compromise between the two is the Plus 4.

all input is good input I think you will find a standard Roadster similar to +8, however if you find a +8 or Roadster with either front suspension mods from Mulfab, roller bearings under top springs or the Suplex suspension with similar Roller bearings you will probably be surprised how light the steering is even at low speeds. The factory did start fitting the roller bearings and did away with the reaction plates under the top springs but not sure when they started doing this. From what I have read if you are after a comfort ride the Suplex system is the one, Williams Morgan will fit for about £850 all in. I believe they are about to fit to a demo car, so you could try it out if you can get to.  Any idea when Williams will have their modified car available ? Neil
