IMHO the Velcro fix works v well and is a v low cost option!  +1 !

 I still have one set of these carpets left. £45, sent by APC couriers next day delivery in UK Mainland. They look good and feel great under foot. Nice deep pile. If they get wet just take them out and dry indoors. I have also kept a bit of the carpet and can get a longer drivers side pedal box piece done to any length dependent on pedal box spacing so it covers the alloy floor in front of the standard carpet in addition at cost.

I just ordered extra sticky velcro (It was expensive on eBay [can send link] and I used long bits of it, probably overdid it) and that along with the tighter fit (By the time I drew around the originals to make templates plus the thickness of the binding) the job is fine. Not just the appearance but that lovely feel of the pile as you step in.
