Silver series 3 for sale Hi – I am a new member on here & was looking for an Aero series 2 but have found a series 3 in Meteorite silver & orange leather. I looked it up on the register & it seems to be an early 3 – the details refer to a member of talk Morgan EX51PLUS4 who sold it in sept 12. Does anybody know this member or know where it has been for the last 11 months?
Many thanks Marco

Got any details on the car? Chassis number etc? Sure we will be able to help. Which dealer previously sold it / has it now ? Got any pics?

Wow £48k for a 30,000 mile S2 (albeit looks very nice). I think my series 4 is too Cheap!
Good luck, sorry I don't recognise the car. Thought it might be Andrews old one but no hard top?
Cheers

Hi - yes it’s the one at Stratstone’s. On the register, its number 8 on the series 3 list. It says that it was sold in Aug 12 - surely it has not been on the forecourt for 11 months? If so, I would have certainly expected them to be running around a bit more...! I suppose in the sales world, there are 10 people looking at it & they are being ‘cool’!!. As per my post on the welcome section (an Essex hello) I have a Griff to Px & they have offered a low Px & very little out of the Aero.
Many thanks
Marco

I would sell the Griff privately. TVRs seem to be appreciating again (slowly).

I test drove the car (Silver/orange S3) several weeks back and gave the Sales team feedback on a few issues I had that would need fixing before I would make an offer. I'm still waiting for someone to call me back !
I called Ledgerwood's about another possible Aero, kept fully appraised and more than happy with response even though the car don't become available.
Before I get stoned , this is not "Morgan bashing" , but I fear for the marque if they go the "plate glass" dealership route and the small, Morgan only, dealerships go out of business.
I used to have my Roadster serviced by Mike Duncan, as far removed from Plate Glass as you could get, but I knew when I got it back it would be "right" and he and his son knew Morgans inside out, rather than " had a training course at MMC"

I don't consider it bashing; however, if "plate glass" dealerships provide poor service and "small, Morgan only, dealerships" provide exemplary service, I don't believe the independents will go out of business - in fact, they should thrive. However, what I will say to level the playing field (and let me state for the record, I have not dealt with Stratstone so cannot comment on their service yet), I have received some atrocious service from two of the dealers who pitch themselves as small independent Morgan dealers. So they are not without their faults as well. Personally, I'd like to see MMC do more to monitor the pre and post service offered by the dealers (and their own sales department). Like many others, poor customer service is my bugbear and certainly the quickest way to alienate a customer in my humble opinion.

I'd like to see the interior of this car. From the comments about it being 'unique', I wonder if it was a factory development car - akin to a 3.5 rather than a v4.0 It wouldn't be a challenge to check the pedigree once you had the build number.
