Got caught on the rain today for the first time in my 2000 4/4 and when we got in the car with wet coats etc of course the screen misted up.
I expected it to clear fairly quickly when I switched on the heated screen but after a couple of minutes I had to resort to wiping it with a cloth.
Later I identified the fuse for the screen, I couldn't see if it was blown but the plastic appeared melted so I replaced it. I tested the screen by breathing on it (we'd dried out now) and it still didn't seem to be working.
I'm away from home at the moment so don't have access to a multimeter, but when the screen is turned on I can hear a click using a radio on MW tuned away from a station. So that would seem to indicate power is being used, also the panel lights dim very slightly with the engine stopped.
Is the screen just slow to clear normally, or do I have a fault? I note also that the switch doesn't light up, I don't know whether it should.
I understand from the dealer I bought it from that he has replaced the screen. I've read on here about problems when Autoglass have replaced the screen, but this is "the oldest Morgan dealer" so they should know what they're doing!

From my experience it takes several minutes to clear depending on how cold/damp the screen is.

The heated screen should clear reasonably quickly (mine does) and the switch should illuminate (mine does).
Not sure this is great guidance - but clearly (pardon the pun) something is a mist (sorry).
Wire to switch maybe?

I haven't the foggiest ;-) I'll check it out when I get home, things might get clearer ...

The screen should start to clear fairly quickly as Neilda says. theres is a possibility that one of the connectors behind the dash...where the cable runs up to the screen..is not fully connected. Easy enough to drop the dash slightly to check.

They are not the best quality. My 2011 4/4 has a "slow" spot on the drivers side but in general the rest of the sceen clears in about 1 min.

From my experience it takes several minutes to clear depending on how cold/damp the screen is. exactly the same in my S3, although winding the air-con up helps speed the process.
