Now the cooler weather has arrived I've reverted to using half the tonneau (when on my own !) Last winter I used it a lot in windy weather and it has stretched quite a bit. I tried soaking it in warm water hoping for some shrinkage as it dried but that didn't work.
I'm now wondering about fixing something to run front to back to support it and help stop the flapping, perhaps a tent pole attached with velcro .Anyone tried anything similar ?
Also now I'm in a getting ready for winter mood , I'd be interested in any reproofing recommendations .
BTW I wonder why they aren't large enough to cover the whole of the leather arm rests , being a bit bigger would probably stop water getting in under the front corner .

You could always pop over to Creative Covers at the Riverside Estate in Brundall. HJP.....I've used Renevo Hood Proofing in the past. Easy to use and works well. Just keep it off any glass or paintwork!

I'm thinking maybe have a strap of polyester sewn in along the edges, before it stretches, so that you have some resistance to stretch. Or even have it made from some slightly elastic fabric as some (outdoor) motorcycle covers are made from. Although the latter I imagine will be right out expensive.

Thanks for your suggestions .
I've made a note of Creative Covers details . Having spent £250 on the existing cover I'm a bit loathe to get another made ,but suspect that is probably the answer or maybe modify mine if my own 'improvements' don't work . Perhaps including AQM's ideas to stop stretching .
I've seen an ad. for Renovo products somewhere so will get some.

I had this problem on a previous car and a local upholsterer sewed in a length of seat belt next to the centre zip front to back.
No more problems.
