That is sad. I hope the person got a real headache from the impact.

Still, have to look on the bright side of life. Time to enjoy the process of hunting down the one which is as enjoyable as the first drive for me !

Best wishes and hope you were okay.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Glad you are OK. Any chance to swap engines in the Mog a la ISIS?

I'm doing ok, a bit sore around the shoulders / neck, going to get checked out by my doctor this coming Monday.

John, funny you should say that. Check out the MogRod link in my signature, I'm going a bit beyond what Isis would do and putting a whole Pontiac Solstice drivetrain under my '66 +4. If the car was a +8 I wouldn't hesitate at the idea, especially since I know how much Corvette drivetrains are worth (also if I didn't have enough projects going on already).

My buddy said "hey, with what the insurance company's giving you, you could easily make a big first payment for a C7"... to which I responded "yeah, but where am I going to get the *rest* of the money from?" spend

Doh, but maybe out there in the USA is someone with a clapped out +8 looking for a little upgrade.

Sorry to hear about the Vette accident but glad you're okay. Also good to hear that the insurance company is playing ball and not giving you the run around.

I had a C2 BigBlock and still hanker after a Z06; although the new MY13 is equally tempting thinking ...need to make some more bacon! spend work

I'm actually a bit surprised a couple of people I know haven't come around asking to buy the motor and some other parts.

The car's back home right now, going to start pulling off all the add-ons this weekend. What the insurance told me is that only the wheels and stereo add any value to it for what they'd pay me, so everything else can be removed and replaced with stock with no adverse affects to the total. I plan on taking the atereo and putting the stock one back in.

I need to double check with them how much they offered for the wheels, as I may be able to work out a deal with another local owner. I could trade them my wheels and tires for a stock setup plus a couple hundred bucks. That would let me break even on removing both the wheels and stereo, and let someone else have a nice set of wheels.
