As I've said before this is a proper jacket for open topped cars.  Waterproof as it's horsehide, tough, well made and is the sort of thing you pass on to your grandchildren. Jacket is an Aeroleather Barnstormer. Was wearing mine in the pouring rain as I grovelled in the mud at a wet Prescott as I fixed the starter alignment on the trike. All I had to do on the jacket afterwards was sponge the mud off.

When I first heard about it, I was expecting something very different to the finished product. It certainly seems more fashion than function, which imho, is a missed opportunity.

I have a light Barbour for the Spring and Autumn and a well worn leather for colder weather.
For Nordkapp, I bought a 'weather proof' jacket from Screwfix and it kept me dry and warm for most of the trip. When it got very cold I added a few thermal layers and a Patagonia micro shell (of which I am now a convert - super thin, super warm but best of all tucks up into a very tiny bag, so can be easily stored away).
If I want/need to be smart, I can always wear a nice wool sports coat but even then, I can't imagine it being comfortable to drive in (and I wouldn't choose to do so)

They do - they just prefer it dressed better ! 
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I see on Morgans Facebook the first shot of the new Morgan Motoring Jacket by Timothy Everest. Apparently Charles was modelling it at the Best of Britannia show this week! I was rather hoping for something a tad more practical....more pockets and room to wear a sweater under it for cold weather! I think it is at least showerproof.  I have to say I really don't like it. I do have a jacket somewhat similar but I would never consider it a jacket for use in the Morgan. I have a Irvin Lightweight from Aviation Leathercraft (Moto-Lita) and on the way to Shelsley Walsh we passed by the Moto-Lita factory and purchase a Monza lambskin jacket for Alis. It is lighter and more supple than the sheepskin and has a lovely honey coloured internal wool. Alis loves it.  Click on image to open link. PS. If you visit Moto-Lita/Aviation Leathercraft in your Morgan watch out for the speed bumps, they are vicious. The one on the road into the site is to be avoided, you could get hung up on it, and the staff recommend driving in on the exit road (with care, obviously)

Nice monza jacket there.
I bought an Irvin about 15 years ago but unfortunately find it just too bulky to have on in a Morgan.
When i bought my 4/4 I got it from Mole Valley in the south. On my way back home to the good old north I called at Moto-Lita and got a wheel. It was good to visit them as they found a good wood match for my dash.
They told me they would put a new zip into my Irvin jacket for me as i was looking for a double zip that will open from the bottom so you can have it ziped up in your car and un zip the bottom part to give you more movement.

A bit more detail on the Morgan Jacket...it looks as though it has a leather reverse to the collar...I assume it is like a standard jacket that can have its collar worn up...and it looks as though the shoulders are bellowed to allow for more movement. So, perhaps a tad more practical.
Moi? well Martyn's wonderful Barnstormer is more my style. I have been pretty tempted with their website in the past...may be now is the time!

I like that idea as I find my Jacket too long at the front when seated in the car. Only trouble is mine has belt.
