I know this has been discussed a number of times but I have one more (hopefully the last) question.
I now have a 12v buzzer with two cable terminals, and I have the wiring diagram for the dashboard cabling. What I've found is that there are separate feeds for the left and right indicator lights on the dash, and since the buzzer does not earth through its body, I seem to be faced with a 2-terminal buzzer I need to connect to 3 cables. Unless I'm missing something. Any helpful suggestions? (Also, should I use an in-line fuse on the live side of the buzzer?)

Roger, I'm also hoping to fit a buzzer. It would seem that the wires are fitted direct to the flasher unit.

Does this make sense?

I think it might. My problem may be that the wiring diagram I have doesn't trace back as far as the flasher unit. If I can locate that it might work as you suggest.

If you connect the live side of the buzzer two both signal lamps on the Dashboard it could be useful to intigrate diodes.

You can connect to both indicator lights, but you need a diode in both the lines to prevent them cross talking.

Good idea. Can you suggest a source for the diodes?

Maplin

If the audible alarm is a pietzo sounder, a 1 amp diode will be plenty. All of 49p.
1 amp diode

Added - but not really needed if you wire the sounder to the flasher unit.
