Got bored and decided to come up with a solution for holding the sat nav that does not rely on maintaining a cooperative passenger.

I made up two bungee mounting bobbins on my lathe that use the existing gearbox trim fixings. Gives a reasonably placed sat nav that allows for hands free cornering and fairly well protected from the weather.

Nice solution, looks like you have had some re-trimming done on the tunnel?

I don't really want to alter the leather work though smile

yes, the tunnel was changed, but the satnav sits on a aluminium plate, fixed to the tunnel with selfadhesive velcro, there are no bolts.

Neat Waldemar. The recessed tunnel I bet could be useful for all kinds of things.
