I want to add another positive vote for the 280mm VDO fuel sender. I put mine in this morning in a relaxed half hour. The gauge was showing 66% with the 220mm unit and then showed 80% after installation of the 280mm unit. Good upgrade!

I wonder when/if the factory will start fitting them ? Perhaps when they've used up existing stock .....

Surely they should be on J.I.T. and not stockpiling tank senders. Suppliers might not be willing to do JIT for the small volumes that MMC operate to. Elsewhere there is a current thread that gives 2014 M3W production as 300 a year/25 a month/roughly 1 per working day, so it would only be economic for suppliers to do batch deliveries.

Wow those Eurospares are fast, under 24 hours and delivered on a Saturday. A nice little job for a wet and wild day today.

Presume you disconnected your battery before fitting the sender? Was there any electronic memory loss?
