Regarding the picture. The rails carry the track circuit which, if it is an impulse track can carry a high voltage. Water and electricity don't mix! I can also see a post to the right of the picture, I don't know if this is the overhead line which carries 25KV. The rails also return this voltage to the sub-station.
I thought I would post this in here, not a joke, in fact quite true and it happened today.
I attended the local N.E.R.C Bi annual open day, although the Spider qualifies (20year club rule) and the Max does not, I was asked by a couple of committe members to bring the Max along. It would be something different for viewing.
with the Spider and Max side by side I thought I would stand by the Spider and both watch and listen as the viewing commenced.
There was obviously some general chat and some nice comments, but also some very funny or derogatory ones too.
Here we go:-
A). It's not a real Morgan B) it's a kit car C) my mate went to Morgan and bought 5 of these in kit form for £75k D) someone has won the lottery and just brought it along to show off E) I think he has just stuck that badge on cos it is a Aston Martin badge F) oh they have spoilt the inside G) ( the wife) those windows are like butterflies, ( husband) dont be stupid. H) it's only a BMW
Dean the lad with the dark blue +4 DHC said he could not find you, you must have been in the loo p*ssing yourself with laughter at those nutters remarks . We got soaked as we headed for the car. I wanted to get back for the Spanish GP.
