Oh Dear, called in at the village coffee morning with the mog caused quite a stir with the younger members of the village all wanting to hear the V8 burble!!! Happy to oblige but key fob battery decided it was time to die and as a last throw it immobilised the car as I was about to take a teenager for a spin  , after several attempts to reset the immobiliser I was saved by a retired British Leyland manager with a new battery  Several trips with hormonal teenagers later everybody was happy apart from the parents who were been told they need a morgan to look cool !!!

I changed mine when I bought the car so I know a start point for battery life. Bought batteries from a mainline shop on the theory they would have better stock turnover and therefore fresher batteries. Did the spare fob at the same time. We take it when away on weekends etc as backup and I use it occasionally as a test.  bought a couple of multipacks at a " pound shop" because her friend said they are a bargain. I have tried a couple in other devices and found a couple dead. We'll see how long the good ones last !

No batteries in Aldermog's keys...!!
Just a chip that "talks" to the car when put into the lock.
