If I was in the UK I'd take it right along to a dealership, but I live in Alderney in the Channel Islands and my M3W really needs its first service.

Is it something any decent garage can do? There's a half-decent one here but there's no danger they'll ever have done a Morgan.

Just wondering what people would do in my shoes. Is it worth shipping back to the UK?

I know you are not thinking about it now, but the re-sale value would probably be better with a full Morgan service history.

The real answer is that Morgans are very simple cars, the Three Wheelers are even more simple, I haven't looked at he service schedule, but I would be surprised if it was much more than an oil and filter change and give the whole car a spanner check to make sure nothing is loose,because of the vibration. The rear belt may need tightening, which a good Harley dealer is used to doing, and I expect the bevel box may need a bit more oil, which can be done from under the car easily, [if a bit messily].

Any decent workshop will be able to do it, and if you have an invoice detailing what they have done, I very much doubt it will really make any difference to re-sale values.

As mentioned any competent workshop should be able to do this, or you can do it yourself.
I am located almost 1,000 miles from the nearest Morgan dealer, so I do my own service work.
As Paul says they are very simple cars and really quite easy to work on.

I agree, there isn't much that anyone with basic spannering skills couldn't do. I also do all my own work (all I say but admit some I don't have facilities or equipment for some things, like body work etc)

But do what you can, use genuine or equivalent parts and document what's been done to show its in line with the manufacturer requirements and it wont affect values or warranty.

Not that i'm mean but why should I pay £80-£100 an hour for someone to oil door locks or grease bonnet tapes for example??

I also actually enjoy the tinkering!

I've got some stands for the car but where do you jack it up?

As Taken From The Morgan 3 Wheeler Ltd - Owners Handbook.

15.3 Lifting
To lift the vehicle, use a dealer recommended jack.
Make sure that the vehicle cannot move backwards or forwards by applying the park brake and chocking the wheels firmly. The jack may be used for lifting front wheels by placing it under the bottom cross tube in the centre.
Rear wheel can be lifted by using the jack directly under the rear chassis cross members at the point they join the side members. (Below the front of the radius arm).
Notice
Care should be taken not to damage the brake pipe or other components under the vehicle when using a jack or stands.
Warning
Only lift your vehicle using the specified lifting points.
Lifting a vehicle when using a jack can be dangerous. If the vehicle falls off the jack at any time you or others may be seriously injured or even killed.
Never lift a vehicle when the engine is running.

The jacking point if on the chassis by the swing arm. It's not the best picture as it looks like the cars jacked up on the mud guard. If you look under the car you'll see a small slot into while the lugs on this sort of jack fit.

Once you've got it up used a couple of axle stands on the tubes left and right of the jack inning point.
