So, forgive me for being shocked by HJP's latest posts, but what is anyone reading these posts (including me) supposed to understand, even if in my case I don't know exactly what is the "lock nut" and the "bottom thread".
It's either:
A) The Suplex kit is not a correct solution for the 3 wheeler, because you either set it wrong or you'll have it banging on other car parts;
B) The factory doesn't know how to properly install a Suplex suspension kit to a 3 wheeler;
What's your pick? A)? B)? Both?
What a mess ... C. Spax adjustable & about £1k

Mario , I wouldn't be too down hearted ! As with everything to do with Morgan it's a mixture of good and bad , eventually the good comes out on top !
Firstly as you are getting a 2014 car it is an amazing improvement over the earlier ones . Mine has effectively gone from a 2012 to a 2014 and it is a totally different car . It feels much tighter and smoother to drive and the steering is transformed .
As for the Suplex , I suspect that the various changes to the front (comfort kit or new uprights ) have altered the measurements a bit . Having adjusted mine again this morning they haven't touched the headers on a quick test . The rear is still a little firm but it's very easy to adjust the damping . I found the faster I went the better it felt ! I think Suplex may need to alter the fronts to give more clearance . Overall , I feel mine will soon be sorted with a bit more tweaking , I'm actually quite enjoying playing around with it .
As for the factory setting it up ....that was disappointing . Various people had posted the difficulties they had had so I thought that by having mine done at the factory would solve this . Because of my concerns I checked before the car was delivered back and was told it had been road tested and all was well . Very puzzling as within a few hundred yards I could tell it wasn't right . It was difficult to find someone to talk to about it which is why Mark Evans got Dan White from Suplex to call me . I don't know whether whoever set mine up and tested them were in a hurry or didn't know what they were doing , but perhaps some training would be a good idea ! I suspect they were the same person who overtightened my mudguard nuts ....
Hopefully by the time they get to your car they will have a bit more experience of fitting them .
Hugh

Obviously perception of ride quality, damping, etc. is all very subjective and dependant not only on individual taste but also the nature of the test road. One thing that has come out from another post, and as I suspected from earlier posts, is that the position of the header pipes is not the same on all cars. Very simply they are not locked in one position and, just like most motorbikes, can be rotated to a different position. My first action after perceiving a clearance problem would not be to adjust the shocks but to try to adjust the header pipe position. It would be necessary to slacken off all clamps and fixings, move the pipe, and then re-tighten the clamps. Just a suggestion from one who has done a lot of work with bikes

It is subjective ,,but in my case the rear springs were wound up too high preventing the internal damper from working .

I agree that that should not happen. The manufacturer needs to organise some training with Morgan, or vice versa. I would apportion responsability 50/50. Whatever the case it needs to be done. Also good installation instructions are required similar to those prepared by PJB for the four wheeler front suspension kit. The installer should hand said instructions to the owner for future reference. As an example here are links to the four wheeler front suspension kit instructions SUPLEX Frt Susp Ref Sys Instructions D8.pdf SUPLEX RS quick setup iss1.pdf

Just ordered a pair of Spax adjustables for the back end of the ThreeWheeler and requested a refund on the Suplex rears. No response just yet from Suplex or Morgan.

No response just yet from Suplex or Morgan.

I called my dealer today, asking him to call MMC and cancel my Suplex Suspension kit order. Too many reasons to cancel it, almost none to keep it.

If your not upgrading the front suspension with the Empire Kit then I would recommend changing out the stock Spax's for Adjustable Spax's or the better Suplex package. The front Suplex "gas tube shock" work really great for me over the Stock Spax's setup (I put 500 miles on the Suplex package before adjusting the damping which then had the manufacturing defect show up) Dan at Suplex is working on a fix for the Empire Kitted Machines where the exhaust is too close to the lower shock spring. It will be interesting to see what the ride will be like with the Empire and Suplex packages working together? And was it worth the extra Franks? Is a adjustable gas tube shock better, I think of Bilstein and koni's ? The Empire Kit should be a factory option until the factory gets the Empire difference

Ok, after a quick exchange of emails all is settled and agreed, the Suplex are go, I withdrew my cancellation. Among other things, I now know that my car is built, still without the exhausts. I sent MMC a few of the pictures found in this thread, and texted my concerns that the suspension destroys the exhausts long before I reach Portugal. Since the exhausts have yet to be mounted, I do hope they are in a way that won't make my concern come to reality. Oh well, if anyone sees a Brooklands 3W with Suplex shocks and without exhausts, and find the words MARIO and PORTUGAL written in the white paper next to it ... please take a picture! PS - I'm bringing the original Spaxs with me just in case. They are mine and I didn't intend to bring them, but IF indeed something goes wrong I won't have the car "parked" long at the dealer while waiting for parts to come from the UK.
