In principle I can support and "get behind this". But I have a 2014 model that is still functioning. It depends on what is proposed whether owners of pre-failure cars (still hoping never-to-fail-cars) can "sign-up" for anything other than support. I can understand why Donaldsaurus is doing this via PM (so would I given MMC has monitored posts in the past) presumably to avoid premature revelation of tactics.

But best wishes and if the 2014's start to fail . . .

Interesting that if someone at Morgan monitored these posts, and this forum, that they would sit quietly and allow owners to get to the point where we are fed up enough collectively that we are discussing what action to take against them.

This isn't a secret, certainly they have "members" on here who monitor and report or even participate in discussions.

The 4 Wheel Trads have 50 plus years of fettling so are everything a Morgan should be.

I feel that every disgruntled UK M3W Owner should be offered a fair trade in against a new or nearly new 4/4 or +4. Morgan should then take the old M3Ws back, re-furbish and re-sell at a good price. This should be an open, limited time offer and shouldn't have to be dragged out of Morgan as a last resort.

Come on Morgan, Man up and face the music.

Aldermog - I'm sure you don't really mean "every disgruntled UK M3W Owner" !
UK owners already get the preferential 'return to the factory' for upgrades and repairs option - what about us overseas owners?

Donald I support you. I'm still in love---when my M3W works, But the factory needs to be heard from. Right now it seems they are hoping "bad stuff will go away". Well it wont, so Big M step up and be responsible.

Its an interesting concept, but of course under UK law, your dispute is with the supplying dealer not MMC. If this action went to a court of law, it would be the dealer in court not MMC. The dealer's lawyers would then get MMC involved as they try to pass the buck to the factory. The dealer is really caught in the middle, the owner is obviously peeved about his poor M3W, and the factory do not appear to be taking positive and timely action to solve the problems. Of course being remote from the communications between dealers and the factory, one can only speculate.

You are right about the dealers being stuck in the middle, However if enough people "threatened" to take their dealer to court MMC would have to do something. This would put the dealer in an awkward spot, but the dealers know of these issues. I'd discuss it with the dealers, if every dealer in the country, and some abroad were threatened with legal action, on mass, they would all be knocking on the door of MMC very quickly.
Unfortunately most of us do not want to sue the dealers but that is the only course of action we have, I can not afford to do so, so I am selling my car at a huge loss. The dealers will have lawyers, who will drag MMC into court with them, and any decent court would find that MMC are at fault.

I fully agree with the sentiments on here but I feel my dispute is not with my dealer (Williams Automobiles) who have been very helpful to me but with MMC direct.
I bought the M3W with the lump sum received from a retirement pension because of the following reasons:-
a) It is better to enjoy the money rather than it doing nothing in the bank.
b) The M3W would be the closest thing to the Vincent Twin and Steib sidecar outfit that I owned for 30 years.
c) I was also under the mis-conception that it would only suffer from minimum depreciation.

I am now in a position where I think we all might end up with White Elephants that nobody wants and we cannot sell, at least without taking a much harder hit on the depreciation.
