Thursday, 10JUL14 - From S&S distribution center to S&S skunkworks
Wednesday, 16JUL14 - S&S rebuilt, new rings, bearings, lifters, pronounced all good, crated

Thursday, 24JUL14 - Dealer reassembled, test drove, pronounced all good
Friday, 25JUL14 - I fetched from Dealer

MOG less forty days and nights ...

And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights.

Now the best part ...
Had scattered showers all day. Took the risk. Threatening skies all around as I left the Dealer. Something wasn't quite right, however. At first I thought it was the bits of 2X4 I put under the front of the seat bottoms, to raise and angle them, but yet hadn't a chance to try. (Work very well, by the way) Certainly drove better with the Centa, took the majority of my concentration, but that wasn't it. Couldn't get comfortable behind the wheel. Took a few miles and realized the steering wheel was upside down. I had activated the quick release so someone swapped wheels or unbolted and repositioned mine. Threatening skies in the mirrors convinced me to press on, regardless. But seriously, WTF !


Awaiting Dealers response ...

Did make it home without getting rained on ...

mmmmm a sorry tale but was there a happy ending? Agatha maybe did not do happy endings?

Keep the faith and make sure Ms Timmins gets a go.

Talked to the dealer, steering shaft separated from rack for engine removal. They choose poorly for re-assembly, so upside down steering wheel. Easy enough to sort.

Now if it just stops raining ...

My friend Conrad, so glad it's running and on the road. I am working at Oshkosh this week ( keeping them apart) and plan to talk to S & S since they have a booth here. Just want to see their thoughts. When I get home let's get together and take them for a run.
