Hello everyone, first post so here goes. New to Morgans so excuse any thing obviouse to you experts. I looked inside the air filter housing today. the standard discovery black cylinder with extended tube air inlet. I was astounded to see how restricted the airflow path is. I am very surprised the car accelerates as fast as it does, is there a system which can replace this ancient and inefficient system ? I was thinking along the lines ofair tube with conical filter. Any ideas boys. Thanks, Mike.

I have a conical air filter that I did try on my plus 8, it is a K&N one and allows it to. Breath a bit better. Just needs a large jubilee clip. Let me know if your interested.

I think I can help you as when I brought my Morgan I found the same crazy design. High restrictions plus very hot intake air.
Following hours on the internet I found an intake upgrade from www.revolutions.UK.com . using K&N filter fitted on the l/h side with larger and shorter tubes, the fresh air enters via the hood grills.
the complete kit comes with excellent instructions and very easy to fit.

I fitted it last week and I used an obd2 engine diagnostic tool to check for improvements. The intake now has no restrictions and the air is much 20 deg cooler + my engine runs much smoother and even though a little noisy I am very happy with the improvement's.
