I have read in the "Morgan Four Owners Workshop Manual" that the starting horn/cone that is spot welded to the crank pulley can easily be tapped off. I've been trying to tap it, cut-off-wheel it, and chisel it but can't seem to get the swear thing off. I feel as though having it on will be a hindrance to pulling the engine. Is there an easier way to get the horn off (or is it possible to pull the pulley off the engine with the engine still in the car and the swear cone still attached to the pulley.

Have any of you guys taken that cone off?

In case anyone else searches this in the future: The screw inside the horn prevents you from tapping off the horn or just cutting the welds. I used a hacksaw to cut around the whole horn just infront of the welds and then was able to tap off the horn. Obviously I'll have to either replace the pulley with a new one or make sure it's well balanced now.
