Well, I got to drive the sport today at the Prescott Hill Climb as I'm sure many others did too today.

Impressions, well, I have size 12 feet, so I had quite a bit of trouble applying the brakes which gave me a few worries on the first corner (!). For some reason the steering column box limits the height in the footwell. On the second run I took my shoes off and it was driveable - just. Not super impressed to be honest.

Ride was very supple, and felt well screwed together. Thought the handling was light and nimble with a lot more grip than the tyres appeared to offer. IMHO the car needs a bigger steering wheel as it was difficult to get the lock on, net effect the rack felt slow. Not sure if it would have given me problems at 6ft 3" with a larger steering wheel.

Engine, revved very nicely, wouldn't call it quick, but it's not slow either. Nice compromise. Could do with a bit more of an interesting sound as it's a bit "flat". Needs more induction sound IMO.

For me personally, I need to get a longer drive on normal roads to see if it's for me. I'm hoping there might be a fix for the footwell issue, maybe dished or lower floorboards.

I think this car will be a massive hit for Morgan at the price point.

I queued next to a 4/4 Sport in the Customs queue at Calais yesterday (being driven back from Paris by Charles' Son) and it looked fantastic with a bit of road grime on it!

Lovely car love

Cheers

I got to the Prescott event on Tuesday and it was a superb day, having been starved of detail of the 44 Sport until then, now all is revealed.
I saw and photographed the Red, the Blue, the Gray, the Green, the Ivory and the Black. I saw the the extras fitted, like the luggage rack, I saw the track conversion with roll cage etc. Nothing left to the imagination. To top it I drove the Hill climb 3 times, I did the country roads, but best of all I was given a passenger seat on the hill climb demo by Greg from the factory in the Aeromax.
My feet fitted ok so I will die happy.
My only problem is I have ordered a black one, but I liked the ivory, the red, the green and the black
could be worse
Thankyou Morgan

yours

Dave

Good news Dave. wine

I know what you mean about liking all the colours and finding it difficult to pick just one cloud9

Nevertheless, I have a soft spot for black Morgans, even if they take extra TLC to take care of. thumbs

Dave,

Black looks stunning. Cream is also gorgeous not sure if I would choose that tho. My favs were Black, Grey & Cream. If you can post your pics that would be great as I forgot my camera on the day - d'oh!

Pity I didn't get the chance to try the Sport on some normal roads, will have to arrange that with the dealer when they get one in.

There's a post HERE by Roderich, he took pics of 4/4 in various colours, I think the battleship grey is the colour to go for!

Fully agree, the grey is stunning. I would go for the green again. Every time I roll it out the garage I go yes, nice color. smile

Must agree that all the colours look good, especially the grey. And yes, I'd go for the dark green again as well!

i have put the 44 sport images up on a new post. Not a total success in instant imagery, scroll down the options on the website and the last heading is Morgan cars.
