older bevel boxes did have an issue with an additive added, that caused coagulation of the oil. Also some whine like hell for a while and then quieten down, others whine all the time. Also worth checking to see if it's the belt.
Definitely talk to dealer but should be ok to drive

learn to love the BB, I had two and tried different oils, you just need to accept it I'm afraid IMHO.

I think there is a place for Maps and Satnav. I like a map for the overall view.

I think I agree. My new BB has less whine but a little more backlash. You pays your money and takes your choice

May we suggest having a look on e-bay or even in Halfords you may find a bracket suitable for this purpose.

just my peppercorn to a discreet Nav mount in the M3W...may be I can help

I bought the Motocycle Kit with the Garmin Zumo and also a RAM Ballmount where you can remove the 4screw Foot (bought mine at www.Louis.de) Found out that the screw fitted in the armature Tablet from the M3W is the same than the one in the Ballmount. So I could use a longer Screw, sawing the head off and fitted the screwfillet with locktide in the Ballmount, same lenght as the original screw from the armature Tablet. Screwed the Ballmount in the Tablet...et voila

As I only use my Nav occasionally, I found this a 'non disturbing' solution for the look on my armature Tablet, which can ,on need, be removed without a trace. I didn't put on the charging cable, as I have more autonomy on the Garmin battery than I need.
And as a bonus it makes a nice hanger button for my sunglasses

There are many ways to install a GPS in the car but I prefer the Garmin Zümo 550 or 660. Why ? Because you can make with these two the most beautiful tours at home on the computer and download them to your Zümo.
You create a tour via Base Camp. Pick out any small and winding road to the other. Base Camp glue all roads together as a tour. As you completed your creation you download it to your Zümo. Put it in your M3W. Put your ears in and it tells you where to turn left or right during the complete tour.
Not even that, you can also view your tour from above in Google Earth and most of the times in Street View to have a look for a nice stop for lunch.
Really fantastic tool.
Used it last winter on a 6000km Harley trip in Thailand. Made the whole trip at home on the computer and found the most beautiful roads without getting lost or using a map.
In the Netherlands you can buy instruction DvD's don't know if you can find them in UK or elsewhere as well but if you search on internet I'm sure you will find.

Base Camp works with practically all Garmins. A very cool app

The screw which goes in the Ball mount is the same as in the armature tablet,
which is an M6 with a lenght of 20mm. The screw for the ballmount should have at least
around 45mm in lenght. You need to saw the screwhead off and turn it completely in the Ball mount fixed with locktide... done! Just need to swap it with the original screw by tighten it firmly by hand.
