Too true.
I always WANTed a Morgan. But the minute I drove one that want became a HAVE TO HAVE. So many other people have the same experience.
I don't know how they do it, but if you test drive one you'll buy one.

It's like getting into a time machine. It feels like it takes you back to a nicer world when things were simpler.....

Zoros. I went from a Lotus Elan/MGB combo to a Morgan and 300000 miles later do not regret it. Everyone here is right.

Drove up to Southport today and spent some time with the MD of Life's Morgan. What a nice and very knowledgeable man! Learned a lot and I got the impression he knows more about Morgan's than most dyed in the wool aficionado's!
Sat in three different types and had a good old look around.
He talked me thru the Plus8 pro's and con's and also suggested my best bet was a Roadster for all round improved Morgan experience?

I must say - even after my TR4/Stag/Lotus Europa days - the Morgan appears very agricultural frown
Nonetheless I will save my decision until I spot a Roadster and take one for a spin.

Don't forget Zoros.....the Morgan came well before the TR4, never mind the Stag and Europa!
You really need to get some time in driving them....they may not be the car for you. Or you may get it and fall for their charms! Good hunting.

Dave is certainly very knowledgeable at Lifes. It might be an idea to hire the +4 from Oakmere for a couple of days and seeing how you feel about the general experience.

I have had a 4/4 a +4 and ow a Roadster S1 from 2006. The Roadster is by far the best trad I have owned. Good luck.

Some things in life just make you smile.

I've owned Morgans for over a decade

And I still smile when I crank my current machine up.

Not entirely sure why!

I wanted a Plus 8 and that was a good enough reason for me.

Had 5 years of a 1994 3.9Ltr, then a 5 year period of totally different fun in my 4/4 Sport, forced into changing in June this year so back on track with a 1999 3.9Ltr so that's why you buy a Morgan you just love them.

If you don't I wouldn't bother buying one because you will not cope well with the little foibles that occur every now and then.

After sitting in a morgan at the London Motor show in 1970 I vowed I would buy one and it has taken me until 2013 to get one ! After children have flown the nest ! I am always excited driving it. Love the gamble of dodging those rain clouds which means many of my journeys go to places I never intended to go to! But that is what ownership is all about. The fun is also in the search for the Mog of your choice. Enjoy!
