I think what we all tend to forget is we drive our cars with the top off when other cars dont and after half an hours driving in dampish conditions most cars would have a less than clean glass on the inside,My mates mx does as he always drives top off as i do. As both simong and myself have both driven at 140mph plus the mk1 is superb very planted roof up and down track obviously. When i test drove the new plus8 it didnt feel as good at the top end of the scale, having said that the aerodynamics are very different the only gripe the side screen wobble and that roof which weve all come to now very well, otherwise a stonking car great auto box carry some kitchen towels for the inside screen and enjoy.

Like me, you may have to get used to cleaning the dash and the inside of the screen every time wash the car. Even in good weather the screen and dash gets covered in dust.

It seems to be the nature of the beast: we went out on Wednesday ans although dry it was dusty and I noticed the build up of dust on the inside of the screen.

Clearly a damp cloth in a ziploc bag is a good plan!

Have only cleaned my dash once in 7 years so this sounds like an aero issue unique to the Plus 8 (although that's not to say the Aero 8 doesn't get damp in bad weather!)

I believe you are correct.

I need to get Tarka into a full sized wind tunnel so we can investigate why this happens.

Anyone got one?
Shouldn't take that long.

Peter, No interior muck problem in my +8. I keep the 'trunk' luggage box on the rack so maybe that is enough to change the airflow. Alan

Alan, I suspect you are correct: I plan to play about with things on the rack and see if that has an impact on airflow. But this is something to do in the spring when it is wet, but warmer!

I have driven from Sweden to Milan with the trunk on the rack and I may assure You that the reverse airflow was so severe that I contracted a dryout conjunctivitis in spite of wearing sunglasses all the while driving...
