Would Angel Eye headlamps look right on an M3W? I'm tempted even though the are not E marked. The lights are poor, its partly because your eye-line is only a small distance above the lamp & partly keeping them in adjustment. Anyone have experience whether the LED side lights are bright like daylight running lights? I tried LED sidelight swap but hardly any better than standard & they only lasted months. http://www.powerfuluk.com/products/land-...headlights.html Tim

I've been wondering the same thing Tim . I have fitted Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited bulbs which are a worthwhile improvement .

My 2011 Roadster lights are not brilliant. Thought I would try HL873 LED DRL's from Powerful UK - £45 a pair wihout bulbs.
They are 7ins headlights with a ribbon of 12 LED's at base of light.
Will get them fitted and hope for better day and night-time illumination.
All motivated by other drivers perhaps not seeing my low black Roadster?
Cheers

Tim - it sounds like you are asking two questions here. My view is that the Angel Eyes things would look wrong on a Morgan, as they're simply too contemporary for the design of the car. You can fit LED sidelight bulbs (and some of them are quite bright and work well as an improved parking light), but they won't help the overall effectiveness of the dipped or full lights, which I think was your 2nd question.... I fitted some discrete (well I think so) but very powerful LED driving lamps which are wired up to the main beam and they utterly transform night driving - better along dark lanes than the bi-xenon HID things on my Audi. Dipped beam remains somewhat 'old-school', but then those are for around town, under streetlights and with other vehicles about. As far as I am concerned, high beam is where it matters. These things are available on eBay and although not cheap, boy do they work!

I share the view that on a M3W they may not look so good. The micro LED spotlights might be the answer, though. The look good in the photo above.

R1NGA, not to hijack the thread but how do you like your wrapped headers? which product did you use? I love the look of the wrapped headers and they do indeed keep the heat radiation down somewhat, after a decent drive. Best of all is the steam that comes off them when started after a night out in the rain! This is the stuff I used; Merlin Motorsport Heat Wrap I have another set of the lamps on my Fiat Panda - again, utterly transformative.....
