If I may make a suggestion. The nyloc nut on the outside looks a little unfinished. You could alternatively use a s/s dome nut, which would need a little Loctite to fix it in place.

The current cars have different rubber "channels" which the sidescreens fit into -- talk to your local dealer - they can supply them -- I got mine for my 2009 plus4 from Brands Hatch Morgan about £20 for the pair, I think! "Does what it says on the tin" stops the sidescreens "bowing" out.

take the old off stick the new on, depending on length you may have to creatively trim the lower portion to follow the curve of the window frame
The adhesive strip on the rear may not hold it on the curve otherwise - ensure paint work is thoroughly cleaned before sticking in place - ie all common sense stuff, measure 83 times cut and fit once sort of thing.

I've fitted these to my Roadster. You may need to carefully trim the flange that grips the front of the side screen to allow the door to close correctly.

With my car the side screen sits ok. No gap opens. The hood edge that comes over the top of the side screen is what comes free. There is a Velcro strip on the inner flap to hold it but this won't keep it there at motorway speeds, and the hood comes away leaving a gap above the side screen. I need to upgrade the Velcro to something stronger, so small, powerfull magnets would possibly work, the narrow size of the side screen aluminium frame restricts what could be used but not impossible, even a small plate strategically placed could be added.
I will try magnets as they are not expensive.
