I have been wondering a long time wether it would help if one had, say, Boranni, make some wheels with enough outset (i.e. some of their modern spoked wheels) and a similar lengthened set of arms to keep the tracking width would alleviate or remove the bump steer completely.

I was driving to a service this morning and experienced the flying bag scenario. A little bit daunting as it was on the a40, quite a major road with HGVs. I couldnt see it pass in the mirror and sure enough it was stuck to the front of the car. It melted onto the exhaust header. Fortunately I pulled it off before it got onto the engine properly.

This weekend I did a round trip from Lisbon to my country home and back. I had the Plus4 in Lisbon and the M3W in the country, and decided to swap, so it was 300 kms out of Lisbon with the "4", and 300 kms back to Lisbon with the "3".

And ... after back to back experiences, I must conclude, there's more bump steer with the "4".

PS (should be posted in the XF14AEF thread but ... ) - the replacement Suplex units have arrived and will be put into the M3W this week. I'm praying that now everything fits nicely and no clearance issues show their ugly heads again.

I took MTW satursday for a ride
75th yesterday And i always thinking than the MTW is more confortable

Just picked up H3NRI (our M3W !) from the train depot. He has been at the dealers for just three weeks short of a year! Engine rebuilt due to failed camshaft. 90% of the time spent waiting for Morgan to decide what to do about it and delays in suppling spare parts!!!
Had a quick ride, seems a bit stiff after so much down time.
Whilst waiting, waiting and waiting for the engine parts we somehow managed to get the extra bits we wanted ie new (hopefully quiet) bevel box, centa compensator and spax adjustable shocks for front.
Original bevel box screamed badly, even with helmet and ear plugs it was excruciatingly loud.
Centa at my own cost
Shocks needed to lower front until steering arms are level almost. Comfort kit not able to be used here in NZ.
Hope to have a long run on the weekend to assess the improvements.

Shame you had to wait so long, a certain aussie gent had a 3w engine blow up after less than a 1000 miles, he went straight to S&S and they shipped a new motor out in double quick time. He's based in Aus and NZ and I can't recall whether his 3w is in Aus or nz but I beleive it's now fixed.

Would a taller tyre/wheel solve the off set problem? In the same spirit: would a modern, lower rear tyre worsen it? There are some very cool tyres to choose from...

As of yet no need for even less bump steer. Very happy customer!

Just delivered my M3W to Richard Thorne dealers near Reading and left home at 7am this morning - thermometer on garage showing 2degC. Forgot that I needed thicker gloves so hands froze, but can 100% recommend the Barbour Trapper Hat that did the rounds on there last year as a most perfect cold weather companion! Lovely drive although the traffic was horrendous (and the South East of the UK needs another 100,000 houses a year? Does it really.....).

Roads a bit cold and slimy, BB not too loud but Compensator a bit clattery today. Earplugs allow you to forget most of that and just enjoy the sunshine and the first decent drive of the year! Looking forward to picking it back up tonight and the drive home.
